Micropolis SCSI-2 HDD (1GB)

Symptoms

On the reboot following installation disk #6, the following message is displayed: 

The file OS2KRNL is not acceptable
Insert system diskette and restart

Hardware

IBM PS/2 (have tested in mod.80 and mod. 90) with Micropolis mod. 2112 fast SCSI-2 harddisk (1 GB)

Problem

Seems like the Micropolis disk for some reason do not like OS/2 on a FAT-formatted partition.

Procedure

Format the partition on which OS/2 is to be installed as HPFS.

If this is not an option, contact Micropolis for assistance to get a ROM upgrade for this SCSI drive.
