"...the kingdom of heaven never ever gave a second prize" (line from my song Running Scared).
But being a whole Christian is not easy, and perfect churches don't exist any more than perfect Christians.
Two people I think today's Christians should study are Gideon and Thomas, two healthy cynics. And God loved both of them more than really seems right.
Like he loves you and me. Like Christ died to show us.
The church stands judged
the church stands wanting
the devil is subtle
the damage is real
the church stands proud
she stands defiant
but God shall triumph when the church shall kneel.
