Turramurra

is a suburb of Sydney, Australia. Its postcode is 2074.

It is arguably the wettest suburb of Sydney, hilly, affluent, leafy, residential. I think of the story of Lazarus and the rich man occasionally and wonder.

The name comes from an aboriginal expression meaning "the high hill", but in fact neighbouring Wahroonga contains a hill higher than any in Turramurra.
