Once
upon a time, the Government decided to do away with Her Majesty's Mental
Institutions. And so it happened that six of Her Majesty's guests found
themselves roaming the streets of Sydney. Perhaps it was providence that
they should meet since all were highly skilled professional musicians.
It was to be their destiny that they would entertain audiences more fortunate
than themselves. It mattered not that they dressed differently, it mattered
not that they spoke with bad French accents and dressed like French Super
Heroes! It only mattered that ‘FROGS ON TOAST’ was born.
They set out with great aplomb to become the best dance band in the world – but they failed miserably! Audiences wanted to sit back and watch the crazy on-stage antics of these desolate (or is that desperate?) souls – they wanted to watch and laugh. And laugh they did, but the music was just too exhilarating and they were compelled to rise up and dance! So now our erstwhile inmates found themselves the centre of attention all over the world but they are still trying to figure out why people are laughing at them! After all, they are simply doing what comes perfectly naturally in their silly lives. ‘FROGS ON TOAST’, a light-hearted look at the French and others – no one is safe! ‘FROGS ON TOAST’ is a must see. Come and join variety performer Trish Allen’s Revolution (Madame Moselle) with Napoleon Boney Part, M’sieur Le Gendarme, Mademoiselle Ohh La-la, Le Solo Musketeer and Pepe Le Personne for a night of song, laughs and cheeky fun. |
