In my day job I make better printers with Toshiba Australia in Sydney. Other things I have done for love or money include:

• building robots with Flexible Systems (later Branch and Associates) in Hobart,
• crunching numbers with the Australian Bureau of Statistics in Hobart,
• simulating bridges with STN Atlas Elektronik in Sydney,
• charting the oceans with Hydrographic Sciences Australia in Sydney, and
• automating governance with Xylogy.com in Sydney.

I belong to the international Association for Computing Machinery, the Australian Computer Society, the Australian Unix and Open Systems User Group, and of Electronic Frontiers Australia.
