Since my return to private enterprise, I have managed a customs brokerage service, a consultancy specialising in international trade & government representations, and the International Trade Department of the New South Wales State Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At various stages of my public service with the Australian Government, I was involved in advising on policy development, in the legislative process and in administration. Australian fisheries (international forums such as the IWC or IPFC, the law of the sea, fisheries law and fisheries management and conservation) and food inspection and quarantine services, mainly for export, were the two main concerns of my public service.
In the work environment, ensuring that there is a cost effective, quality aspect to undertakings.

In private enterprise, experience includes corporate responsibilites, trade seminars and consular liaison, trade development & international business contacts, submissions & representations to government and marketing.
