Anyone wishing to submit results should follow these rules:
  1. Perform the test three times within the file it comes in, with no other applications running.
  2. Relaunch VectorWofks before each run.
  3. For Macs, turn Virtual Memory off or note that it was on.
  4. Average the Performance Index for the three tests.
  5. Let me know the details for each column (OS, RAM, etc).
  6. If necessary, download the latest version of VW Speed Test below.

VWSpeedTest - 109k for Macintosh
NOTE: Drag this Macintosh .bin file to the desktop, then once downloaded, drag it over Stuffit Expander to uncompress. Double clicking is sometimes unreliable.

VWSpeedTest - 111k for Windows 95 and NT.

NOTE: Once downloaded, double click this Windows .exe file to uncompress it.

MiniCAD 7 for Windows Overlays

Here are a couple of overlays I have created for Windows users. They are not greatly different from the standard ones, though the palettes do line up and I've pulled out the text commands from sub-menus. Once uncompressed, they should be placed in the Overlays folder which is in the MiniCAD 7 folder. You should do this when MiniCAD is not open, otherwise they won't show up in the Overlays menu. You can rename them with any name you like.

MiniCADOverlays - 84k for Windows 95 and NT.

NOTE: DOUBLE CLICKING THIS BINHEXED .EXE FILE TO OPEN IT WILL NOT WORK. Instead, drag it over WinZip (or launch WinZip and open the file by clicking the Open button), then select the file in the list and click the Extract button. This will produce the .EXE file which can then be double clicked to uncompress MC Speed Test.
