Avance Logic Video Cards

Last Updated: 6th February, 1995
Get the OS/2 2.1 drivers for Avance Logic Video Cards from ftp.cdrom.com:

When I went through step 1-4, I could see that some files to be backed up were missing, probably because they don't exist in Warp.

After that I continued with step 5,6,7.. I selected Avance Logic, Inc. in the driver selection menu, then I got the following message:

"The Installed adapter does not support the selected display driver. Do you wish to change your selection. Yes or No."

First I selected Yes and went back to the driver selection menu, next time I selected No and the installation proceeded OK.

I have only tested with 800*600 resolution, and scan rate 72. The screen got vertical striped so I changed to scan rate 60 and it got better, but not perfect.

I also noticed a message saying "...target file ????????.??? is newer than the source file...Select O.K. to overwrite...". On this message I selected "OK". I did not remember to write down the filenames.

Is it necessary to run the DOSFSA.BAT every time when the machine starts? It was added to STARTUP.CMD during the install.

So far everything works OK. Many thanks for the drivers. When I get some more time I will test with 640*480 and 1024*768 resolution.
