This is the old Cleveland Lighthouse. It is on Morton Bay, in Brisbane, south of the Brisbane River.
It is one of three hexagonal lighthouses built around the Bay, and the only one surviving. It is made from timber weatherboards, a construction method popular for houses in Queensland. There is at least one similar light in northern Qld. The lighhouse was moved about 30 metres from its original location in 1975 when the rather ugly cement tower below was built.
There is a small park between the two lights, suitable for a picnic.
All photographs were taken using a Praktica MTL3 (SLR camera) with a Fuji 50mm, f1.4 lens. The film was Kodak High Definition (200) Colour Print Film.

This is the new Cleveland Lighthouse. To me it is more like a large harbour light. Not the prettiest structure ever built.
