Grotto Point Lighthouse

These are a few pictures of Grotto Point Lighthouse, on the northern side of "Port Jackson", as Sydney Harbour is also known. It is within the Sydney Harbour National Park. The track is a branch off the "The Spit to Manly" walk. The nearest road is Cutler Road in Balgowlah Heights, and the carpark at the Eastern end is probably the better place to park. There is a cliff on the harbour side of the light. These were taken in late March 2002.

The light is only shown along the eastern (outer) side of the harbour.

All photographs were taken using a Praktica MTL3 (SLR camera) with a Hanimex 24 mm, f2.8 lens and a "Ranger" 500mm f8 mirror lens on Kodak 400 print film (consumer grade) push 1 stop to 800ASA by a pro lab, and scanned onto a Kodak Picture CD by a minilab. Adjustments were made in Paint Shop Pro v3.11.
