This is a typical Norwegian lighthouse, white with a fluorescent orange roof. They use red, clear and green sectors to indicate channels, hazards, etc.
Hamnøy is a small island off Ålesund and Langevåg on the west coast of Norway. We visited the island in 1982 to see where my Grandmother was born. The island was un-inhabited at the time, although a number of buildings remained.
Photograph taken from the small boat we visited the island on, using a 126 viewfinder camera and 126 slide film. 126 is/was a square format, with a reasonable image area. It was probably taken by Karsten Sortland, my Dad. Adjustments were made in Paint Shop Pro v3.11.
