Wallabies in our backyard!!!

These are even more pictures of a wallaby in the land behind our place, in a northern suburb of Sydney! They come into this area for the greener vegetation.

These are "Swamp Wallabies". A wallaby is a small version of a kangaroo - not a baby kangaroo, which is called a joey.

Taken using a Praktica MTL3 SLR camera, on Kodak Ektachrome P1600 professional colour slide film, used at 1600ASA. Adjustments were made in Paint Shop Pro v3.11. From memory, the first few were taken with a 500mm lens, and the outside ones with a 58mm Zenit (Soviet made) lens and a 2x tele-convertor to give a 116mm effective legth.

Taken from inside.
Eating the lawn grass, and maybe a few weeds.
Taken from on the stairs up from the laundry. Provided I was below him, he seemed happy, but got worried once I was at a similar height.
Both ears listening to me.
Being watched...
Just stay there.
I think my dad made a rude noise inside...

I scared him when I went out onto the patio (above the laundary/garage).
"If I can't see you, you can't see me."
He did come back a little closer.
