Wollongong is the largest city in the Illawarra region of NSW, south of Sydney. The city has two lighthouses within close proximity. Only the headland one is in current regular use, although it has been restored and does function.
This is the newer Wollongong Lighthouse, also called Wollongong Headland Lighthouse. It is on Flagstaff Point.
The first few photographs were taken using a Praktica MTL3 (SLR camera) with Soviet made 58mm f2 lens on Kodak 800 print film (consumer grade) and scanned onto a Kodak Picture CD by a minilab. Adjustments were made in Paint Shop Pro v3.11.

This is the older light, called the "Harbour" or "Breakwater" light. It is on the southern breakwater, in Belmore Basin.

| The old breakwater light on the left and the new headland light on the right, with ocean fed or "continental" pools in front of them. As you can see there is also a boat harbour, entered from the left, between the breakwater nearest the camera and the old light.
