This photograph shows my mother, Berte, standing third from the left in the back row, with a number of my aunts and uncles. My father Julian is not pictured.

These are my maternal grandparents, Mr & Mrs Peder Havnøy. This picture was taken in Aalesund, now spelled Ålesund, in the west of Norway.
