Common public misconceptions are that DeLoreans are difficult to service and more challenging when sourcing parts. As Australian DeLorean owners, we've found neither to be true. Most generic parts can be sourced from Volvo or Renault wreckers, and DeLorean specific items are available in abundance from DMC suppliers in the USA.
Repairing a DeLorean in Australia is not a problem but you do have to shop around for a place that knows what they are doing. Stainless Steel workers are a good place to start if you need a ding taken out of a panel, and most competent Volvo/Renault mechanics can work on the engine and gear box.
