Installation can take as little as 30 minutes (that's how long it took to intstall the unit to a Kawasaki ZG1300). Motorcycles with integrated fairings where the headlight is encased will obviously take longer and may also result in the Running Light Unit requiring a longer electrical harness. On the Kawasaki ZG1300, there were no cutting of wires and no soldering (Plug 'n Play, so to speak!). Installation in other types of motorcycles or cars may take considerably longer. The unit may be wired to operate from the the ignition or other power source such as from the headlight or parking light.
